On Friday 27th April, Bridges Estate Agents the major shirt sponsor took on a team of Aldershot Legends and Veterans in a match which raised money for Bridges Client Manager Simon Pearson who is currently battling Myeloid Leukaemia and Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice, a charity partner of Bridges Estate Agents.

An awesome spectacle that lived up to the hype and was thoroughly enjoyed by the players and spectators and, of course, the officials.

In a tight match the scores were close at 4-3 to the Legends after Reece Watmore bagged a brace for Bridges and Alex Katsaros curled in what he described as a ‘worldy’ from the edge of the 18 yard box. With the game poised to go either way the Bridges tactical genius that is the Chairman Tony Raffermati decided to whip off a defender and bring on an attacker. Immediately Aaron Roberts of the Aldershot Legends team popped up to score and shock no one, except the tactician Tony who made the substitution!! The Shots team then added another in injury time which gave the score line a flattering look, but a good well balanced game on the whole!
