Bridges are delighted to be working alongside Thameswey with the managing of a new development of high-quality apartments in North Camp that are being offered with Thameswey’s new Earn Your Deposit scheme which sets aside money each year which tenants can use towards a deposit if they want to buy a home rather than continuing to rent.
The scheme is available to all Thameswey tenants with annual deposit contributions currently ranging from £1,600 to £3,600 depending on the size of the property – to a maximum of £80,000. For more information go to Thamesweygroup.co.uk/news

The 22 new apartments in Camp Road have one, two or three bedrooms and many boast balconies or outdoor terraces. They each feature a large combined kitchen and living area and are finished to a very high standard. Some of the units are arranged over two floors and all feature heat and sound insulation that meets the latest standards.

Armed Forces Discount

20 percent rent discount for serving and recently discharged members of the Armed Forces. The offer by property developer Thameswey is in support of the Armed Forces Covenant, a government-led initiative that encourages businesses, local authorities and other organisations to support the Armed Forces and their families in a number of ways.

Chief of Defence People Lieutenant General Richard Nugee said: “The Armed Forces Covenant is a promise from the nation that the Armed Forces community is treated fairly, so I’m delighted that Thameswey has chosen to honour this promise. We are grateful to any business that commits to supporting our troops, and Thameswey’s offer will make a significant difference to those based in North Camp.”

Aldershot MP Leo Docherty, a former soldier who served in Iraq and Afghanistan, added: “I am pleased to see that this company is supporting the military covenant which is critical to ensuring that our veterans receive the help they need.”

North Camp is rooted in military history, taking its name from originally being the Northern Camp of the Aldershot Garrison. It is now a bustling community with good local shops and excellent transport links.

“Thameswey’s mission is all about creating sustainable communities and projects like this perfectly illustrate what that means in the real world.” “We were hoping to provide more rental units at the Camp Road development but, unfortunately, planning difficulties meant this wasn’t possible. However, we will continue to look for alternative opportunities to support the community.”

The development is due for completion in the autumn and will be offered for rent on the open market to all types of tenants, although only serving and recently discharged Armed Forces personnel will be eligible for the 20 per cent discount

Mark Rolt, Chief Operating Officer at developer Thameswey, said: “Supporting the Armed Forces Covenant was such an obvious thing to do when creating new homes in North Camp, a place synonymous with Britain’s military. We’re really proud to be able to offer these homes at a significant discount, which we hope will help to ensure the Forces remain a significant part of this vibrant local community.
