One thing that the 1st national lockdown bought home for the Bridges team was how much we all love our jobs, love our clients and love our colleagues so, like everyone else in the country, we were left wondering what the latest announcement by Boris Johnson meant for Team Bridges, our clients and the housing market throughout November.
Whilst the latest lockdown is disappointing, what is extremely positive is that the housing secretary has announced that the housing market will remain open during this period – ALLOWING YOU TO MOVE DURING THE SECOND LOCKDOWN!
Over the last 48 hours our Directors have been reviewing the guidance provided by the government and our Sales and Lettings offices will remain open and you will be able to visit by appointment only. When we reopened back in May 2020 after the 1st lockdown we were extremely diligent and cautious when it came to safety measures, PPE and procedures and would like to reassure you that these strict and necessary precautions are still very much our priority to ensure we keep our staff, clients, suppliers and local communities safe and protected. You can read more about these procedures here – www.bridges.co.uk/corona
The November market is looking extremely positive, despite the lockdown announcement. Our teams are fully available to deal with the high level of demand whilst keeping safety as our number 1 priority. What the last week has seen in business terms is homeowners continuing to put their property to the market either for sale or to rent to capture the ‘captive’ audience we have at the moment. The stamp duty holiday has been extremely successful in producing an additional influx of buyers, sellers and investors with many movers keen to ensure they are on track to exchange and complete before the end March 2021. The rental market as always is buoyant with many tenants looking to secure a home and demand for rental property is high!
Bridges commitment to our staff, clients and local community is to ensure we continue to operate to the highest standards with the “can do” attitude that we have built Bridges on over the last 29 years.
We will be proactive, available, supportive, knowledgeable and, most importantly, aware of your safety throughout November. We will monitor closely any local or national changes that may affect our clients and staff and will adapt and offer guidance should it be required.
So finally, we are open for business and are able to service any part of your move with our fantastic staff, so if you are thinking of moving or know someone who is, please do not hesitate to contact us on 01252 361550 or email [email protected]
