Over £100,000 raised for Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice Care

We are delighted to announce that team Bridges have raised over £100,000 for our local charity partners Phyllis Tuckwell.

This is a goal we have been working together to achieve over the last six years. Carlo Stocchetti our Group Managing Director, and some of our charity champions recently visited the Hospice in Farnham to present a cheque to Phyllis Tuckwell’s corporate fundraiser Tom Enser and meet some of the doctors and nurses there.

The money was raised through a variety of fundraising activities, including a celebrity football match, and sponsored abseils and skydives, which Bridges staff took part in.

“We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone at Bridges Estate Agents for raising this incredible amount of money to help support our care, and also to everyone who sponsored and supported them,” said Tom Enser from PTH. “As we usually only receive 20% of our funding from the NHS/Government, we have to raise over £25,000 every day to pay for our care, and the support of our local community is so important in helping us to do this.”

The £100,000 raised includes our sponsorship of Phyllis Tuckwell’s three cars, which their Hospice Care at Home nursing team use to visit patients who have chosen to spend their last days, and to die, in the comfort and familiarity of their own homes or care home.

“As we come out of the pandemic and hopefully wave goodbye to the difficulties all charities have faced to fundraise in the usual way, we are delighted that we have been able to continue to contribute to their efforts to raise essential funds for the daily running of Phyllis Tuckwell. This is an incredible amount for an independent business to raise and with traditional family values at the heart of our business, we are delighted to have been able to come together as a team to raise these essential funds.
