Bridges Supports Hi-Speed Charity Football Tournament Raising Over £9,000 for Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice Care

At Bridges, community has always been at the heart of what we do — and this weekend was a brilliant reminder of the power of people coming together for a fantastic cause.

We were proud to take part in the 2026 Hi-Speed Charity Football Tournament, joining businesses and local teams from across Surrey, Hampshire and Berkshire in support of the incredible work carried out by Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice Care.

The event delivered everything grassroots charity football should be about: competitive matches, brilliant team spirit, plenty of laughs and, most importantly, an outstanding fundraising total.

Together, an incredible £9,186 was raised for charity — a phenomenal achievement that will make a genuine difference to families supported by Phyllis Tuckwell across the local area.

A Fantastic Day for Charity Football

The tournament once again proved what local businesses can achieve when they work together. With teams competing throughout the day in a brilliant atmosphere, the event showcased not only some surprisingly competitive football, but also the generosity and community spirit that exists across Surrey, Hampshire and Berkshire.

A huge congratulations goes to Catch Resource Management, who were crowned 2026 tournament champions after an impressive performance in the final. Their victory means the trophy has now been won by three different teams in three years — highlighting just how competitive the tournament has become.

For the Bridges team, it was a fantastic opportunity to support an important local cause while spending time with colleagues, partners and fellow businesses away from the office environment.

Supporting Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice Care

Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice Care provides vital support and compassionate end-of-life care for patients and families across the local area. Events like the Hi-Speed Charity Football Tournament play an important role in helping raise essential funds for the charity’s continued work.

We are incredibly proud to have been involved and would like to thank everyone who organised, participated in and supported the event.

Looking Ahead to 2027

Following the success of this year’s tournament, preparations are already underway for an even bigger event in 2027, with hopes of welcoming 20 teams next year.

The continued growth of the tournament is a testament to the incredible support from local businesses and sponsors, and we look forward to seeing it become even bigger and better in the years ahead.
