A Milestone Visit Marking an Incredible Partnership

This month, members of the Bridges team had the privilege of visiting the new Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice construction site, following the exciting achievement of reaching our £150,000 fundraising target. The visit offered a first-hand look at the progress being made towards this vital new facility, which is set to open its doors in Spring 2026, providing essential palliative and end-of-life care to patients and families across Surrey and Hampshire.

A Partnership Built on Compassion and Community

Since the partnership began, Bridges has proudly supported Phyllis Tuckwell through a wide range of community fundraising initiatives, events, and staff-led campaigns — all driven by our shared belief in supporting the people who support others.

Through charity raffles, sponsored walks, and office fundraising challenges, our team’s collective effort has helped raise funds to aid the construction of this state-of-the-art hospice. The new building will replace the current site in Farnham, ensuring Phyllis Tuckwell can continue delivering expert medical, emotional, and practical support to those living with an advanced or terminal illness.

Insights from the Site Visit

The site visit, organised by Sarah Blake from Phyllis Tuckwell, gave the Bridges team the opportunity to see how their contribution is helping to shape a facility that will make a lasting difference to the community.

The tour showcased the hospice’s thoughtful design — with light-filled patient rooms, family areas, gardens, and therapy spaces all designed to provide comfort and dignity. For many attending, seeing the tangible results of years of fundraising and collaboration was a deeply moving experience.

Words from Bridges CEO, Carlo Stocchetti

Reflecting on the partnership and the visit, Carlo Stocchetti, CEO of Bridges, shared:

Supporting Phyllis Tuckwell has been one of the most meaningful commitments in our company’s history. Reaching £150,000 is a testament to the generosity of our staff, clients, and community. Visiting the new hospice site reminded us that every pound raised goes towards something truly life-changing — a place of care, compassion, and hope that will support thousands of local families for years to come.

Looking Ahead: The Future of Care in Our Community

When the new Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice opens in Spring 2026, it will offer enhanced palliative and end-of-life care services including inpatient facilities, community care, counselling, and support programmes. The new site has been designed to meet the growing needs of the local population, offering improved accessibility and sustainability features to ensure it continues to serve the community for generations to come.

This development marks a new chapter for Phyllis Tuckwell — and Bridges is proud to have played a part in its journey.

Celebrating the Power of Partnership

Over the years, Bridges has been privileged to support many local schools, sports clubs, and charities, but our partnership with Phyllis Tuckwell holds a particularly special place in our hearts.

The success of this collaboration reflects our core values — community, compassion, and commitment — and reinforces our belief that estate agents should play an active role in giving back to the areas we serve.
