Step In. Stand Out. Make a Difference with Camberley Rotary Club
At Bridges Estate Agents, we’re passionate about supporting local organisations that make a real difference across Surrey, Hampshire, and Berkshire. This month, we’re proud to shine a spotlight on the Camberley Rotary Club — a dedicated group of volunteers who have been serving the local community with pride since 1945 and are now welcoming new members for 2025.
Who Are the Camberley Rotary Club?
The Camberley Rotary Club is made up of local volunteers who are part of Rotary International, a global network of over 1.4 million members across 200 countries. Together, they combine their time, skills, and passion to create positive change both locally and around the world.
What They Do Locally
Closer to home, the Rotary team supports a wide range of initiatives that make life brighter for local people. Their community efforts include:
- Delivering Christmas hampers to families in need
- Supporting charities such as Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice and Surrey Heath Age Concern
- Sponsoring the Rotary Junior Community Award for 10–11-year-olds in local primary schools
- Backing community groups and events, including dementia support activities and the local judo club
What They Do Internationally
The Camberley Rotary Club’s impact also reaches across the globe, helping those in need far beyond our local borders. Internationally, they:
- Help eradicate polio worldwide through the Rotary’s End Polio Now campaign
- Send aid to disaster-struck and war-torn areas
- Identify and support communities in need in less privileged parts of the world
Why Join Camberley Rotary?
Joining the Camberley Rotary Club means becoming part of a network of like-minded individuals who genuinely care about their community. It’s about having fun while making a lasting difference — whether through volunteering, fundraising, or offering a helping hand where it’s needed most.
It’s also a fantastic opportunity to meet new people, get involved in local events, and be part of something truly meaningful.
Making a Difference — Together
In recent years, Camberley Rotary’s fundraising efforts have raised over £11,000 for local and international charities, including ShelterBox, End Polio Now, Smile Train, SCAMPPS (Children with Special Needs), and those affected by the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine.
You’ll often find Rotary members running fun events at local fairs and festivals across Camberley, Frimley, and Bagshot — bringing people together and helping to raise vital funds for those who need it most.
